Mastering the Complexities of the Denture Process Through Digital Techniques

Tired of costly denture adjustments and inconsistent results? Wondering if digital dentures are the solution? This one-day workshop is designed for dentists and teams to explore how digital tools like intraoral scanning, 3D printing and CAD/CAM can streamline denture fabrication, improved precision, and enhance patient outcomes.

Lead by Dr. Wesley S. Mullins, participants will engage in hands-on learning and live patient demonstrations, covering every step of the denture fabrication process for both digital and analog.

About Dr. Wesley Mullins, DDS, FAGD:

  • 20 years of experience, practicing in Knoxville, TN
  • Faculty member at the University of Tennessee Medical Center
  • Member of the ADA, Academy of General Dentistry, Tennessee Dental Association, and the Second District Dental Society
  • One of the founders of the Dental Guys Podcast

Course Objectives:

  • Understand the principles of complete denture construction, including anatomical considerations and patient assessment
  • Master techniques for accurate impression-taking and jaw relation records
  • Gain proficiency in designing and articulating dentures for optimal fit, function, and aesthetics
  • Explore different materials and new digital techniques used in denture fabrication and their clinical implications
  • Practice teeth setup and wax try-in procedures to refine occlusion and aesthetics
  • Learn efficient methods for denture processing and finishing
  • Understand how to effectively delegate aspects of the denture appointment to dental auxiliaries

Course Format: The workshop combines interactive lectures with practical sessions using state-of-the-art equipment and materials. Participants will work individually and in small groups to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. The course includes case studies, demonstrations, and
live patient interactions to reinforce learning outcomes.
